The kite, also known as deltoid, is a convex quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent, equal sides. One pair of its angles also has the same measure.

Nonconvex polygons satisfying the aforementioned property are called darts.

Any kite's diagonals are perpendicular to each other.

Kites appear as faces in two of the 13 Catalan solids, namely the deltoidal icositetrahedron and deltoidal hexecontahedron.
